SIC (US 1987) : James Wolf was a teen-ager tagging along on an errand with his mom when William Effler offered him an after-school job in his jewelry store in Mt. Healthy. He took it and 25 years later, Jim bought the business in 2001. Jim continued on at that location as James Wolf Jewelers, offering the same expertise, extraordinary quality and friendly service that people have come to expect. Jim and his wife Laura said that buying the business has been a dream and passion of theirs, as well as a way of life, and a life of service, Jim's hometown of Mt. Healthy, and the surrounding communities. Jim met his wife Laura, who happened to be the niece of William Effler, when she began working at the store. They married in 1987 and together Jim and Laura make a great duo, working side by side doing what they both love.
With the support and patronage throughout those years of loyal customers, it made it possible for them to open their store in 2005 at the Deerfield Towne Center, located in Mason, Ohio. In 2011 the lease expired with Wm. Effler and they closed the Mt. Healthy store after serving the community for 10 years as James Wolf Jewelers.With Jim's 40 years experience in the jewelry industry, he has grown their bridal business to be a huge success. Jim and Laura belong to the American Gem Society and the Independent Jewelers Organization. These organizations are vital to stay on top of the ever changing jewelry industry. By being members of both organizations James Wolf Jewelers is held to a high standard of excellence, ethics, service and integrity, and this promotes consumer protection for you!
Jim is a 1978 graduate of Mt. Healthy High School. He graduated from Miami University in 1983, with a degree in Geology. Jim attended the Gemological Institute of America in California and received the title Graduate Gemologist. He furthered his education and knowledge to earn the title Certified Gemologist Appraiser.
Jim and Laura are longtime residents of Loveland and belong to St. Columban parish. The have three beautiful children Natalie, Matthew and Elizabeth. They continue to support their communities with their time, talents and treasures.
